Network Marketing Leaders Blueprint

In our network marketing industry, we yearn so much to be and to learn from network marketing leaders. Although leaders are not born but created, not many know how to become one successfully.

Below entails how one can become a successful network marketing or internet network marketing leader.

Network Marketing Leaders Blueprint

If you were to build a house, you would begin with a blueprint. This blueprint proves useful because it contains more than directions on how to build a house. It also describes the finished house.

So, what does this have to do with our industry leadership?

Few years back, I went to a seminar where the speaker ask the audience about characteristics of an ideal leader. I’ve jotted down in my small little note pad and it goes like this,

  • A good listener
  • Enthusiasm
  • With passion
  • Shows appreciation
  • A visionary
  • A role model
  • Trustworthy
  • Integrity
  • Organized
  • Domain knowledge
  • Credibility
  • Persuasive
  • Charisma
  • Team building
  • Clarity of purpose
  • Problem solver
  • Attitude of service
  • Lead by example
  • Patience
  • Understands followers
  • Consistent
  • Empowers other people
  • Be truthful in all undertakings

From this comes, I gain some valuable insights

1) Notice what the list contains. All of these characteristics relate to the human side of leadership. That’s interesting because I often hear people minimize this side of leadership with terms like “soft” or “touchy feely.” Actually, applying these characteristics requires more strength than not.

2) Notice what the list excludes. Absent from this list (and all lists from other programs) are characteristics such as stern, mean, serious, short tempered, vindictive, tough, angry, harsh, punitive, controlling, violent, or ruthless. These characteristics are the refuge of those who lack the strength (or the skills) to apply the human side of leadership.

3) How about you? How would you rate yourself as a leader compared to the list of positive characteristics? If you were to survey the people who report to you, how would they describe your leadership? How would your follower rate you? Are you on the soft or  the hard side? Do you genuinely care for your followers? Or is it due to momentary gain that you start caring your followers?

Human sense are somewhat fine tune to accuracy when working with someone for a long time. They can sense if one is genuinely or not in all their undertaking. The leader can be consistent in producing his or her work but without genuine care, most will shun them.
